Welcome to Prison Poison Poetry—a space where the rawness of confinement meets the power of creativity.
Alvin Hegge is a writer, poet, and thinker whose voice emerges from behind prison walls with startling clarity and conviction. Through poetry, spoken word, and music, Alvin explores themes of truth, isolation, redemption, and the unyielding human spirit. His work isn’t polished for comfort—it is forged in fire, shaped by solitude, and sharpened by a relentless pursuit of meaning.
Every word Alvin shares is a glimpse into the reality most people never see—a world filtered through steel bars, concrete silence, and deep reflection. Yet, even here, light seeps in. Through this platform, Alvin invites you to walk with him: to listen, to feel, and to question.
Because even in the darkest places, a voice still rises.
My name is Alvin Hegge. I am a father, a grandfather, and a man who has spent decades in prison for crimes I did not commit. I have maintained my innocence from the beginning, and today, with new evidence and renewed determination, I am fighting not only to clear my own name—but to lift the stigma my convictions have placed on my children and grandchildren.
For over 40 years, my family has carried the weight of allegations that deserve to be reexamined. This website is part of a broader legal and investigative effort to uncover the full truth. We are currently working with legal advocates and researchers to obtain sealed documents, analyze case records, and bring forward facts and testimony that were never given a fair hearing.
I am not asking for pity—I am asking for justice. I am asking for the opportunity to prove my innocence and to restore the dignity that my family has been denied for too long.
Legal processes require time, expertise, and resources. Your support—whether through financial contributions, sharing this page, or simply listening—helps move us closer to the truth. Every step forward brings us nearer to the day my children and grandchildren no longer have to live under the shadow of a lie.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Thank you for standing with us.

Name: Alvin Hegge
Convicted: 1980s
Sentence: Life in prison
Plea: Not guilty
Status: Incarcerated; seeking post-conviction relief
Alvin Hegge was convicted over 40 years ago following a criminal investigation and trial process that, in retrospect, raises serious concerns about the fairness and integrity of the proceedings. Throughout his incarceration, Mr. Hegge has consistently maintained his innocence.
Recent developments—including access to sealed records, new testimonies, and long-overdue investigative attention—have revealed potential evidence of legal irregularities, including:
Witnesses never called to testify
Exculpatory evidence potentially suppressed or disregarded
Conflicts of interest and investigative bias
Key documents sealed without clear justification
This case is not just about one man. It is about the broader implications of justice denied. When due process is compromised, and evidence is hidden or ignored, the consequences ripple outward—harming not only the accused, but also families, communities, and public trust in the legal system.
Mr. Hegge’s children and grandchildren have lived under the shadow of his conviction for decades. The stigma, shame, and unanswered questions have had lasting emotional and social consequences. A reexamination of this case is long overdue—for the sake of truth, accountability, and the possibility of healing.
